Club Trips
This information is provided for Members and Prospective Members of LWC.
Two or more trips are held on most weekends throughout the year, plus some mid-week day or evening trips. Details of each trip are available within the Members' / Prospective Members' areas of the website and are also published in the club newsletter, Perambulator. Most trips use the club's own bus while others involve car-pooling which is organised by the Coordinator of the trip.
Walking trips range from easy day walks and base-camping weekends to overnight and multi-day hikes. Cycling trips range from beginner to advanced mountain bike trips as well as social road rides of varying length and difficulty. Kayak trips include easy flatwater excursions through to ocean and multi-day trips.
All intending trip participants must register by logging into the Members' / Prospective Members' areas of the website or contacting the Coordinator at least 48 hours before the trip departs.
Registrations for each event normally open one calendar month before the departure date.
All trips leave from Newstead College, 24-28 Cypress Street, Newstead unless stated otherwise in the preview.
